Omnihedral Launch Party Oct 30-31!

It is with immense pleasure that we announce, at long last, the Launch Party Celebration for Omnihedral!
Here are the updated details for the party:
- When: Saturday October 30, 1pm-midnight; Sunday October 31, 1pm-9pm
- There will be free open gaming throughout the weekend, and we will be featuring the following games:
- Disney’s Mickey & Friends Food Fight!
- Dinosaur Rawr ’n Write
- Shaky Manor
- Rival Networks
- Decrypto
- We will have a store-wide Launch Party discount!
- For this weekend only, our usual game rentals from our huge game library will be $1 only.
- We will be hosting the Omnihedral Scavenger Hunt - those who complete the hunt will be able to take a free grab from the Omnihedral Box of Holding, while supplies last!
- On Saturday October 30 at 7:30pm, John will be running a Star Trek Attack Wing tournament, Halloween Havoc:
- The pumpkin-headed Kazons have endured enough mockery as a second-tier adversary for the Federation, and have chosen Halloween to mete their rage out at their enemies, tribbles in tow!
- Time: 7:30pm, Saturday October 30
- Entry fee: $10
- Scenario: Obstacles
- Build rules: 120 points total, with any Kazon ships costing 10 points less, and Cyrano Jones costing 0 points
- Structure: 3 rounds, each 60 minutes maximum, following standard STAW tournament rules
- Prize: Winner's choice of either STAW: Alliance, Klingon Faction Pack Blood Oath, Federation Faction Pack To Boldly Go, Vulcan Faction Pack To Live Long And Prosper, or Dominion Faction Pack The Cardassian Union
- On Sunday October 31 from 2-5pm, we will have a Halloween-themed pick-up game of the Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG. No role-playing experience is required, and pregenerated characters will be provided.
- We will have a selection of celebratory cupcakes, and a spooky amount of Halloween candy.
- Last but definitely not least, we will be kicking off our 2nd Annual Charity Drive for the Toys for Tots Campaign!
Please note Omnihedral's COVID Policy: we require masking while in the store and event areas, with the exception of when eating and drinking.

DCC Day is an annual event by Goodman Games that celebrates their role-playing games, Dungeon Crawl Classics, Mutant Crawl Classics and Xcrawl Classics. The official DCC Day for this year was on July 20, but Goodman Games endorses stores running their DCC Day event on a day of their choice, and for us that is this Saturday, August 17. Here are our plans for Saturday at Omnihedral: We will be running two free one-shot RPG events ! The links below are to reserve a free ticket to play in the games to help us keep track of attendance. Free RPG Day is an annual global event that celebrates role-playing games, creators and players. This coming weekend, we will have free exclusive content for a wide variety of tabletop roleplaying games, including new RPG adventures, quick-start guides, accessories and more. Omnihedral is focused on curating events for fun, education, and charitable causes. Thus far in 2021, we have run outdoor gaming sessions in conjunction with our fantastic neighbors at the Brewing Good Coffee Company, and coordinated charity drives for Toys for Tots as well as Hearts and Homes for Youth.
Tomorrow, Saturday September 18, Gen Con 2021 will be Popping Up at Omnihedral! Gen Con is the largest annual board game convention in North America, and is taking place in Indianapolis, Indiana, this weekend. We are excited to be able to celebrate with those unable to make the trip to Indy by hosting our own official Pop-Up Gen Con event here at Omnihedral in Savage, Maryland! Gen Con has partnered with multiple game publishers to offer up a number of Early Release games available to Pop-Up Gen Con retailers. In order to participate, attendees need to sign up on Gen Con’s official website with a registration fee of $5. You will receive an official Pop-Up Gen Con badge when you arrive at Omnihedral on September 18, and you will be able to play and purchase the Early Release games on site, well before their official release date.
